Register : A, special, high-speed storage area within the CPU. (CPU 안에 있는 특별한, 빠른 속도의 저장장치)

 

PC(Program Counter: 다음 실행될 명령어의 주소를 가지고 있음),

IR(Instruction Register: 현재 실행 중인 명령어를 가지고 있음),

MAR(Memory Address Register: CPU에서 사용될 자료의 주소를 가지고 있음),

MBR(Memory Buffer Register: 메모리로부터 읽어온 데이터 또는 메모리에 써야할 데이터를 가지고 있음),

I/O AR(I/O Address Register),

I/O BR(I/O Buffer Register),

AC(Accumulator), etc.
